R.I.P. - one of the most beautiful places Ive seen is history - its a shame that this amazing historical building has been demolished!!!!!!!

How beautiful. And tragic. I really don't understand how some can look at this and be disgusted while children (bratty teenagers) feel the overwhelming need to vandalise it (abandoned buildings) with worthless writing.

This reminds me a little of my visit to 'Chateau de Noisy' mesen is in worse shape though :( It really is a travesty :( This is a great photograph though, marking the castle's final days :)

it would. I don't know about Mesen, but nobody wanted to buy Noisy after it stopped being a summer school in the 1980s, and I have no idea why! It's honestly the nicest place I've ever visited. I guess it's just luck. Can't be that many people out there with enough money to buy one of these places and maintain it these days :( It's so sad :(
